According to a report from *The Sun*, Crystal Palace has upgraded its security protocols to prevent a potential influx of Arsenal fans at Selhurst Park during the final matchday of the Premier League season.
Arsenal will travel to Selhurst Park for the season finale, where a win could end their 22-year wait for a league title. With the visitors highly motivated to claim the championship and Crystal Palace likely having little at stake, club officials have rolled out multiple enhanced measures to stop Arsenal supporters from occupying home sections and potentially staging a title celebration on site.
A club statement read: “To prevent away fans from entering home areas, this match will have several enhanced security measures, including the suspension of ticket transfer functions to curb private resale and tout activity. Supporters are reminded that, per match terms, home-end tickets are strictly for home fans. By purchasing and using a home-end ticket, you confirm you are a Crystal Palace supporter.”
Only fans who had registered as members before December 2025 are eligible to buy tickets for this fixture. The club has also disabled the ticket transfer function for the game, making it significantly harder for private sellers to pass tickets to Arsenal fans. Any fan caught reselling tickets privately faces being banned from purchasing season tickets and memberships for the next season.
The move follows controversy during Arsenal’s recent 1-0 away win at West Ham, where a large number of Arsenal fans were seen in home sections of the London Stadium. Post-match footage showed several supporters being escorted out after celebrating Leandro Trossard’s goal.
However, Arsenal may not need a result at Selhurst Park to seal the title. If Manchester City drops points against Crystal Palace earlier in the week, Mikel Arteta’s side could clinch the championship by beating Burnley at home on Monday, securing their first Premier League crown since 2004.
