World No. 38 Austrian tennis player Anastasia Potapova shared how she adapted to the conditions at the WTA-1000 tournament in Rome, Italy, after competing at the same level event in Madrid, Spain.
“It wasn’t easy, as I’ve already mentioned. It took me literally a couple of matches to get used to the conditions here. The first two matches were pure survival — trying to hold on and find the keys to victory,” Potapova said during a press conference.
Potapova began her campaign in Rome from the qualifying rounds. On Sunday, May 10, Anastasia defeated Russian player Liudmila Samsonova 6:3, 6:2 to advance to the fourth round of the tournament.
