According to ESPN’s latest data model projections, the San Antonio Spurs hold a 77.2% chance of winning Game 5 of their Western Conference semifinal series against the Minnesota Timberwolves, while the Timberwolves are given just a 22.8% probability.
The series is currently tied 2-2, with Game 5 set to take place in San Antonio. ESPN’s predictive model factors in recent team form, home-court advantage, injury reports, and the overall strength of a Spurs squad led by Victor Wembanyama, resulting in a heavily lopsided forecast.
Wembanyama has been dominant throughout the postseason. Although he was assessed a Flagrant 2 foul and ejected in Game 4 for elbowing Naz Reid, the league did not impose a suspension, clearing him to play in Game 5. On the other side, the Timberwolves rely on stars like Anthony Edwards but face a significantly tougher challenge on the road.
